In the centre, a man in a saffron/orange robe and orange turban walks barefoot, with the a person candidate's appearance uncertain at this distance. Around him, men in white dhotis and saffron shawls carry decorated parasols with red, yellow and multicoloured fringes, a silver trident (trishul) on a pole, and a silver bowl held in front. Ornate red and gold fan-shaped standards with a blue emblem are also carried. The scene suggests a temple procession, possibly ratha-related, under dusk lighting.2006-12-20Night procession on a dirt path with a figure in the centre wearing an orange-saffron dhoti and shawl, a long pink and white flower garland and gold necklaces, with long swept-back hair and a bare upper body, walking forward past a decorated wooden palanquin with a tiered, colourful canopy and a red interior. Two attendants in orange robes hold large orange ornamented umbrella-like standards with floral and bird motifs. Other people in orange and white clothing walk behind and around, including a shaved-headed man in orange on the left with a white forehead band. A burning oil lamp is visible near the palanquin.
