In the foreground a man in maroon-and-gold dhoti with a red-and-white flower garland and a maroon turban with white feather stands beside a bald, bare-chested older priest with white markings on his torso and a rudraksha mala, who holds a small wooden staff. Around them young boys in saffron-orange robes stand close, some holding offerings. Behind them, a woman in maroon sari and a man in maroon robe hold a silver tray near a gold-and-red ornate throne with a deity murti. Several other attendees stand in the background.2013-12-24A photograph in a bright hall with red-curtained windows shows a long-haired man in a rust-brown dhoti and draped cloth with gold borders and a long beaded mala, smiling as he hands folded orange cloths to a line of shaved-headed young boys in saffron-orange robes with maroon waist cords. Several boys wear white tilak marks on their foreheads. Behind them stand other saffron-robed people, a bare-chested man in brown with a rudraksha mala, and women and men in white ritual dress, with a pink tray visible at left. Many onlookers stand in the background.2013-07-27Photo 11738467December 24 20132013-12-24
