Two bare-chested priests in white dhotis and orange cloth stand at left before a fire pit with a flame, brass vessels, and offering trays of flowers and fruit. Behind them a decorated palanquin-style structure is wreathed in yellow and white flowers. At right, a deity murti sits on a gold throne with a red cloth backdrop, draped in garlands of marigolds. A seated person in saffron-orange robes and a rudraksha-style necklace sits at right with hands folded in namaste, with a red-and-gold umbrella above. A large silver-and-flower-garlanded bull-form vehicle with a pink-and-yellow canopy dominates the centre, with a gilded bull head on the right. Several men in dhotis and saffron cloths gather at the base, some bare-chested, holding and tending the vehicle, with oil lamps burning in front. A man in white dhoti and shirt and another in a yellow shawl stand nearby, and a shrine-like silver structure stands at left. Devotees and attendants are visible in the dark background.2017-02-07 +2 copiesNight procession on a road lit by vehicle headlights and strings of coloured lights. On the left, a figure in white garments walks beside a silver-and-gold palanquin decorated with colourful garlands, carrying a deity murti with a crown and ornaments. In the centre and right, illuminated ornate ratha-style chariots with golden canopies and carved frames carry several deity murtis, and a row of onlookers and attendants stands along the roadside. A lens flare with a rainbow ring sits in the upper right. The mood is a festive temple procession.2016-01-02
