Several men in white dhotis with gold borders stand around a small brick-lined spot, with brass vessels, a kalasha-type pot, offerings and a plate nearby. A bare-chested man in white pours liquid from a vessel onto the ground. Standing at the right, a bearded man in saffron-orange robes and a dense multicoloured floral garland watches, with white vibhuti marks on his forehead; the cues are the garland and saffron robe, but his face and identity are not established, so this is an unconfirmed appearance. Behind them, devotees in orange and red clothing watch from a distance, and a colourful canopy hangs overhead. Bricks are arranged on the ground in the foreground.2016-11-23Outdoor bhumi puja at a groundbreaking site beside a pink multi-storey building. A bearded man in a saffron-orange robe with a floral garland, holding a small pot, stands at the centre behind a row of red bricks laid on bare earth. Around him, priests in white dhotis and orange cloth perform rituals; one bare-chested priest pours from a vessel, and another holds a palm-leaf-style book. A multicoloured parasol shades the scene, and rangoli kolam designs in red, yellow and green decorate the ground. Potted vessels and offerings sit near the pit. Several devotees stand along the path in the background.2016-11-23November 23 20162016-11-23November 23 20162016-11-23Outdoor bhumi puja ceremony at a red-brick building under a canopy with red, yellow and green tassels. A bearded man with long swept-back dark hair wears a dark maroon-brown robe, a multi-coloured marigold, rose and jasmine garland, and a dark rudraksha mala, holding a small golden bowl while scattering yellow powder over stacked red bricks on bare ground. Two shirtless men in white dhotis with yellow borders and orange cloths assist beside him, one holding a brass vessel. Orange-robed attendees and a child in red stand in the background. Several people are visible, the main figure appearing to be the priest performing the rite; his identity cannot be confirmed from appearance.2016-11-23November 23 20162016-11-23November 23 20162016-11-23
