A photograph of a formal annadhan meal ceremony in a bright, tiled hall. In the foreground on the left, a shaved-headed monk in saffron and red robes sits with palms pressed together in prayer, while rows of saffron-robed monks sit cross-legged on mats in front of banana-leaf plates, each with small lit oil lamps and food offerings. On the right, younger monks in orange robes with white forehead marks and rudraksha malas sit with hands folded over leaf plates. Behind them, a larger seated assembly of devotees in white and red clothing sits quietly, and a camera on a tripod is set up at the centre. The scene conveys a blessing of food before distribution at the a person Annalaya mission.2014-01-01 +1 copiesPhoto 11742760A photograph of a seated annadhan meal inside a hall. In the foreground, shaved-headed monks in saffron-orange robes sit in rows with palms pressed together in anjali, some with white vertical tilak marks on their foreheads and rudraksha malas around their necks. Before each figure lies a banana leaf heaped with food, with small paper cups of drink beside it. Behind them, rows of people in red and white sit on mats, and a few white-clad attendants stand at the far right near a large vessel. The scene suggests a community food-offering ritual.2013-01-01 +1 copiesPhoto 11737398September 13 20142014-09-13 +3 copiesPhoto 11735637July 26 20142014-07-26 +3 copiesAnnadhan during Allahabad Kumbhamela 20132013-01-01 +1 copiesAnnadhan in 20142014-01-01 +1 copiesJuly 26 20142014-07-26 +4 copiesPhoto 11680900Photo 11737402
