Photo 11739180 +1 copiesA small, wide photograph of a seated group at a traditional ashram gathering. Several people sit in a row on a raised platform in front of a warm, decorated backdrop with flowers and draped fabric. A central figure in ochre and saffron-toned robes sits in a front position, with other devotees in white and colourful clothing arranged on either side. The setting appears to be a satsang or Deepavali celebration, though the image is too small for further detail.2013-11-02Photo 11739182November 02 20132013-11-02Photo 11687421A stage performance before a pink draped backdrop with swagged fabric. A man in an orange-saffron kurta sits cross-legged on the left, with a microphone in front of him. Beside him, a woman in a deep maroon outfit with gold jewelry sits playing a long-necked tanpura or veena-style instrument upright, with a microphone stand near her. Two men sit at the right, one in a light blue shirt and another in white, with a tabla drum set on the floor in the foreground. Carpeted stage floor with red and pink tones.2009-02-23December 14 20112011-12-14Photo 11687396A cultural music performance on a striped woven stage under a white tent. Six seated musicians perform on a striped rug: at left a man in orange-gold kurta plays a tabla-style drum, beside him a man in striped shirt; in the centre a man in mustard kurta with white dhoti gestures while speaking into a microphone; a woman in a maroon and gold saree sits at centre-right with a microphone and sheet music; a man in mustard kurta plays a drum at right, and a man in white kurta plays a dholak at far right. Woven red and gold wall hangings and white pipe scaffolding frame the stage. Seated audience members in the foreground are partly visible, one man's head at lower centre and an older woman with grey hair at lower right.2008-07-17November 02 20132013-11-02Photo 11687282Photo 11739216 +1 copies
