Beside it, a metal-railed platform with stairs holds three priests in saffron-orange dhotis and shawls with ceremonial beaded necklaces; the central priest wears a red floral garland and holds a ritual item, while the others, one with white tilak markings, stand attentively. Red-tiered steps and trees form the background under an overcast sky. A few distant onlookers are visible at the lower right.2013-06-03June 17 20132013-06-17Night photograph of a large black Shiva lingam being bathed, with water streaming down its surface and a red-and-white flower garland draped over its top. A figure in a red-orange turban and orange-brown cloth stands atop the lingam's rear, with a gold necklace visible, appearing to perform abhishekam. Several priests in white dhotis and orange cloths climb a silver metal staircase on the left, carrying brass pots. Silver bands encircle the lingam's midsection. Strings of warm lights line a wall at right, and a small crowd of devotees is visible at the lower right near the base.2016-12-08October 12 20112011-10-12
