Many shirtless men in white dhotis sit in rows on red stone steps at a riverside ghat, many with rudraksha malas and red or orange shawls draped over shoulders. Stone lingam-style pedestals and small brass kalasha pots are set on the steps among them. Behind the steps are green trees, pink flowers, a chain-link fence and red flags. A few men in the foreground hold brass vessels. Some people in the crowd appear to be wearing ceremonial gold necklaces. Several people in the middle rows have long hair and beards, and one seated figure with long swept-back hair and a red shawl sits prominently mid-frame.
