Several people in orange and saffron robes sit cross-legged around it, with one saffron-clad man in the centre wearing a white tilak and a rudraksha mala, seated behind the pit. Seated devotees in orange clothing face the altar. A younger woman in a white sari with gold border sits in the foreground beside a brass oil lamp with a bright flame. Brass vessels, a brass lamp, fruit, flowers, and woven baskets with offerings fill the altar to the right. Photo of a large homa fire ceremony in an outdoor courtyard at night. A central square fire pit blazes with flames and burning sticks. Seated in front of the fire on a raised ornate throne is a figure in saffron-orange robes with orange and rudraksha-style beaded garlands, holding a book. Surrounding the fire, shaved-headed priests in orange robes with yellow borders sit on the left, and women in orange and red saris with beaded necklaces sit on the right and behind, some tossing offerings into the flames. Many standing and seated devotees in white and orange fill the background, with a lit stage area and a deity image visible in the upper right.

A shaved-headed man in orange at left leans forward gesturing toward the offerings. Roughly twenty to thirty people are visible.

Night photograph of a homa fire ritual at an outdoor ashram courtyard. A large square fire pit blazes in the foreground, with a bright fire and offerings of wood and ghee. Behind it, a seated figure on a raised wooden seat with a leopard-print cushion wears orange robes, a long rudraksha mala and a gold ceremonial necklace; the figure's appearance matches the page's a person claim only partially, so the identity is uncertain. Around the fire, many women in saffron and orange saris with rudraksha malas sit and stand, some holding brass vessels, flowers and ritual items, and several raise their hands in prayer. Two shaved-headed men in orange robes sit to the left beside brass pots and lamps. Strings of coloured fairy lights decorate the red wall, and a few men in white stand in the background.
