A long-haired man in saffron-orange robes with a dark rudraksha-style bead necklace kneels on the left and reaches out with his right hand to touch the head of a kneeling man in white dhoti and shawl. Beside him, a shaved-headed priest in maroon-and-gold dhoti places a hand on the kneeling devotee's head. On the right, a bare-chested man wears gold chains and a gold bracelet and holds a yellow flower garland. In the foreground, a brass tray holds flower petals, a banana, rice-like offerings, green leaves and a small brass vessel. Sunlit walls and a string of fairy lights appear in the background.2010-11-22Photo 11742503March 22 20122012-03-22January 30 20072007-01-30 +1 copiesA ceremonial padapuja scene in an indoor hall. A man with long hair, wearing an orange-saffron shawl and a heavy garland of green leaves, red and yellow flowers, stands before a gilded golden throne with red velvet cushions and a red backrest. Beside him, a bare-chested priest with white sacred ash markings on his arms and chest and an orange-red beaded necklace holds a silver tray of fruit and offerings. A shaved-headed attendant in orange robes and rudraksha beads stands behind them, and a man in a yellow shawl and white dhoti watches at left. A large backdrop of a deity in red and white behind the throne and gilded plates of flowers and offerings at the lower right complete the scene.2010-09-18Annadhan in 20142014-01-01 +2 copiesA photograph of a temple entrance with yellow and red garlands hanging on the walls. A man in the centre wears an orange-saffron shawl, a thick marigold and red-flower garland over his shoulders, and a smiling expression, while people around him in orange robes and white dhotis hold garlands and a ceremonial staff topped with red flowers. A man on the right in a white shirt holds a yellow garland. A man in a white dhoti stands at left. The centre figure has a distinctive appearance and is described by the page as a person; his cues include a saffron shawl and ceremonial garlands, so this is an appearance-based probable identification.2012-09-11March 06 20122012-03-06
