One man in saffron-orange clothing, with a bare upper body draped in a reddish cloth, stands at the base pulling a rope that runs up the pole; he wears layered rudraksha malas, red and white flower garlands, a gold-toned ceremonial necklace and beaded bracelets. A palm frond appears at the right edge and a metal roof edge at the upper left. The scene suggests a pole-raising ritual, with the man's face tilted upward toward the top of the pole.2015-02-23
