Most wear saffron-orange and deep red saris and rudraksha malas, with white tilak lines on their foreheads. Many hold small brass lamps or plates of offerings and raise them toward the front. Brass vessels, fruit, flowers and small dishes sit on mats before them. A white metal stanchion and chain edge the front rows. A few older women in white sit at the right, and red curtains and stacked chairs stand in the background.2013-10-23February 24 20142014-02-24Photo 11736921A large group of seated devotees performs a ritual in a hall with cream walls and a red curtain.
