A gold pendant on a beaded chain hangs at the chest and a red tilak marks the forehead. Garlands of yellow and red flowers drape around the statue, and a larger deity murti with gold crown and jewelled ornaments stands behind. Brass bowls sit at the sides of the seat, and the setting is a temple shrine with elaborate silk and jewelled decoration.2010-10-03A white marble statue of a seated sannyasi in orange robes and an orange head wrap is garlanded with bands of white jasmine and red, yellow and purple flowers. The figure wears a heavy gold bead necklace with a gold pendant and a rudraksha mala, and holds one hand raised in blessing. Behind it, a larger orange-clad figure with a rudraksha-wrapped head and a jeweled tilak is also adorned with flower garlands. A brass bowl, folded orange cloth and a flower offering rest on white cloth in front. The statue is a murti, not a living person, so no physical people are present.November 19 20122012-11-19December 02 20122012-12-02
