Photo 11734175Photograph of a stone temple complex with a tiled terracotta roof running along a carved granite wall. Ornate miniature shrine towers with domed tops and sculpted niches stand at the corner, with a yellow outer wall and coconut palms and trees behind. Two people walk across a paved courtyard at the lower right: one in a white dhoti and shirt, the other in a dark shirt and trousers. No a person candidate is visible in the scene.2012-05-22Photo 11734167 +1 copiesA photograph of an open temple courtyard paved with reddish-brown bricks, bordered on the right by a long colonnade of short pillars with blue-grey and white bases beneath a yellow-ochre wall. On the left stand a low, weathered stone temple structure and small domed shrines with carved finials, and a large leafy green tree grows at the centre beside a small pillared shrine. Two men walk away from the camera across the courtyard: one in a white dhoti and shirt, the other in a dark shirt and trousers. The sky is overcast and white.2012-05-22A long red-brick terrace or rooftop walkway stretches toward the horizon, bordered on both sides by low parapet walls with turned pillars and a yellow-washed boundary wall. Along the far end stand several small white domed shrine structures with carved pillars and finials, surrounded by green trees and palm trees under an overcast pale sky. Scattered dry sticks lie on the bricks in the foreground. No people are visible; the scene shows only architecture and landscape of a temple precinct.2012-05-22A photograph of an empty temple courtyard with weathered stone pillars along a covered colonnade, their shafts painted in faded red and white. Terracotta tiled roofs run across the frame. Beyond the walls, a carved white stone shrine tower (gopuram/vimana-style) with sculpted figures and a small finial rises above smaller domed roofs, with palm trees and green trees behind. No people are visible.2012-05-22Photograph of an old stone temple courtyard with weathered carved pillars and a low brick-red tiled roof along the left and centre. Two white-clad figures stand in a doorway near a stone well with a rope, and a shrine tower with stepped spires rises at the right beneath a hazy sky. Palm trees and a large tree sit behind the yellow compound wall, and a scaffolded gopuram appears at the far right edge.2012-05-22May 22 20122012-05-22May 22 20122012-05-22August 01 2009 - Kalpataru, Thiruvanaikaval, India2009-08-01Photo 11734164Exterior view of a stone temple complex with an open paved courtyard on the left and a long carved granite wall on the right, decorated with pilasters and mouldings.
