A long-haired man in saffron-orange robes, rudraksha malas and gold necklace sits cross-legged on a white cloth strewn with yellow marigold petals at the front of a blue-and-orange wooden boat, smiling. Behind him, several men in white sit on another boat along the river steps, with a small golden shrine, a row of laundry hanging on the ghat, and multi-storey buildings on the bank. Probable Swamiji seated in the boat with distinctive visible cues: long swept-back hair, saffron robes and rudraksha malas.2013-02-13Photograph taken from a wooden boat on the Ganga at Varanasi, looking toward a crowded riverfront of ghats.
