July 11 20122012-07-11Night photograph of a rooftop puja before two standing metal deity murtis draped in white and yellow flower garlands, one holding a staff and one raising a hand, set on a green cloth-covered platform flanked by brass oil lamps. A shaved-headed priest in saffron-orange dhoti and shawl, with a gold-beaded necklace and a sacred thread, sits cross-legged at a microphone waving a lit lamp over the offerings. Brass vessels, a small fire pit with wood, and a woman in orange seated at the right complete the scene.2012-07-11July 11 20122012-07-11Photo 11744181 +1 copiesNight outdoor homa on a rooftop. Two bronze deity murtis, one with four arms holding a conch and attributes and a red crown, the other with a green leaf-shaped fan, both draped in white jasmine garlands and orange-red cloth, stand on a green brocade-covered platform. A man in saffron-orange robes, shaved head, white forehead markings, rudraksha and gold necklaces sits cross-legged before a microphone, hands folded in anjali while speaking. Brass oil lamps with flames flank the platform, and a metal tray of dried wood and offerings sits in front, with small silver vessels and flowers nearby. A woman in orange sits in the background. The scene is a puja or satsang with a fire-lamp offering, and the speaker's appearance is not clearly identifiable.2012-07-11July 09 20122012-07-09July 09 20122012-07-09Photo 11732586 +1 copies
