A white minibus marked TOURIST travels up the unpaved track, with an orange-clad figure visible through its windshield. Sloping rock faces rise on the right, and loose stones and rubble line the roadside. Dense green shrubs and trees cover the slope on the left, and a red-and-white barrier tape runs along the left edge. A partially visible person in a plaid shirt sits at the bottom right corner.2009-10-12A photo of a muddy mountain road lined with dense green vegetation and steep slopes. Several people walk along the wet gravel track, some barefoot, carrying backpacks and bags; one woman in an orange garment and another in an orange top with a blue backpack walk in front. Two white TATA minibuses marked TOURIST ONLY are parked on the road, one with luggage and orange bundles strapped to its roof. A man sits on a rock at the right edge of the road.2011-08-09Two stacked photographs of a mountain road in the Himalayas. The upper image shows a steep, vegetated rocky cliff with a narrow winding road cut into its face and a small white vehicle far below, under a blue sky. The lower image shows two white minibuses stopped on a wet, debris-strewn road crossing a shallow waterfall that spills over the roadway, with rocks and rubble along the banks and a third bus partly visible at the right edge. No people are clearly visible.2010-09-25A steep hillside road cut through forested Himalayan slopes. Dust rises from a raw, eroded earth embankment where the road has been carved into the mountain. Several people and a vehicle are visible small in the distance along the upper road edge, and dense green shrubs and trees fill the foreground. The scene shows a rugged mountain pass with an unpaved cut-slope road.2005-05-25July 08 20082008-07-08A photograph taken from inside a vehicle on a steep mountain road in a green Himalayan valley. A gravelly unpaved road curves past forested slopes of tall pine trees and dense shrubs. A white coach bus is parked on a roadside ledge beside a small concrete shelter and a row of tin-roofed buildings. Misty clouds drift over the wooded ridges on the right, and a side mirror frames the left edge of the view. No people are clearly visible.2008-07-02A steep, densely forested Himalayan valley with a narrow winding dirt road cut into the green hillside. A small white van travels along the upper road, while a lower switchback track zigzags down the slope. A river runs white with rapids through the gorge on the right. Lush trees and grass cover the slopes, and a distant red vehicle is visible at the lower right edge.2008-07-06July 06 20082008-07-06 +1 copies
