A photograph of a large outdoor gathering of seated villagers under a bright sky with palm trees and dense green vegetation behind. In the foreground a woman in a pink sari sits beside a woman in a teal sari with a beaded handbag, and a man in a checked shirt and white towel over his shoulder sits among the crowd. Many men in white shirts and dhotis, some in orange and purple shirts, and women in colourful saris sit on plastic chairs and bare ground, while others stand further back. The scene suggests a public event, with no visible dais or a person figure clearly identifiable in the frame.

A dense nighttime crowd of devotees walks in procession. Many men wear white shirts and white dhotis, and several wear rudraksha or black beaded malas around their necks. Women wear sarees in orange, red, yellow-green and blue, with flowers in their hair and gold necklaces. A small child in a blue outfit is held up on the right, and a young girl in a yellow dress stands nearby. A bamboo pole rises at the upper right. Several people in the foreground look downward as they move forward. No figure is clearly identifiable as a person from appearance; the foreground devotees are shown in ordinary procession clothing.
