A bare-chested man with a rudraksha mala and a white dhoti stands center, receiving a pour or offering from a golden kalasha-style pot held by a man in a white shirt. Around them devotees in white clothes with white and ash tilaka marks on their foreheads press close; a young boy in a maroon robe with a shaved head and a man in a yellow shirt are visible. A woman in a white sari with a red bindi stands at right. Brass pot, rudraksha beads and white garments dominate the frame.2012-06-05A crowded temple-courtyard scene of a ritual. In the foreground a woman in an orange-red sari with a pink flower garland stands with her back to the camera, holding a small brass vessel up toward a shirtless priest in a yellow dhoti on the right, who is pouring liquid from a silver bowl. Behind them a man in a white shirt watches, and a few other men stand at the left edge. Strings of orange and yellow flowers hang overhead and a brass pot sits in front of the priest. The setting looks like a temple sanctum with decorated walls.2012-08-20April 05 20122012-04-05 +1 copiesPhoto 116877492014-07-04August 08 20092009-08-08Crowded temple entrance with a large throng of men and women pressing forward.
