A photograph of a homa fire pit at night. Tall orange flames rise from a brick-edged square pit, consuming a heap of offerings and wood with red, orange and marigold-like petals scattered among the embers. Behind the pit, a white cloth with a green and brown border covers a table with small brass or clay vessels. No people are clearly visible; the frame shows only the fire and the altar area.2012-09-24A large fire blazes over a tiered brick fire pit (kund) used for a homa or yagna. Dry wooden logs and pieces of offering are burning in the flames, with pink and red flower petals and marigold-like blossoms scattered on the brick steps and fallen around the base. Dark smoke rises through the frame. At the far right edge, partly obscured by fire and shadow, a figure in dark red-orange clothing stands near the pit. No other people are clearly visible.2017-12-20 +1 copiesOctober 29 20162016-10-29 +1 copiesApril 03 20132013-04-03January 28 20152015-01-28Photo 11742550January 14 20122012-01-14A photograph of a large bonfire of stacked wooden logs burning in a fire pit against a dark background.
