A figure with long, voluminous dark hair, wearing an orange-saffron cloth draped over one shoulder with a red-and-maroon edge and gold bangles on the wrist, holds a lit oil lamp or flame on a metal dish toward a black stone deity murti set in an ornate gold-framed arch niche. A second man in a white shirt with a green-striped shawl stands at left with folded arms, and a plate of offerings sits at the lower left edge. The shrine walls are dark tiled. The figure's face is not visible. a person appearance is not established from visible cues beyond clothing and hair, so the candidate is unsure.2006-09-29A person seen from behind kneels in prayer with palms pressed together at chest level, wearing a sleeveless saffron-orange garment with long dark wavy hair flowing down the back. In front of them is a tall polished brass oil lamp (deepa) lit with a small flame, a brass bowl, a small brass kalasha-style vessel and a brass bell on a tray, with incense smoke rising at left. Behind is a deep red curtain and carved stone pillars with a dark niche. The person's identity is not established by the image, so no appearance-based label is given; the setting suggests a puja or aarti moment in a temple shrine.2008-06-19
