Many men wear white dhotis and white shirts, and one man in the foreground on the right wears a pink shirt and a saffron-orange shawl over his shoulder. Several women in saris stand among them, including one in a blue sari on the right and others in pink and purple at the left. A small child stands near the centre. Behind them, a roadside stall with blue and red signboards and a flower-decorated arch stands beside a tree-lined street with shops. The crowd appears to be watching something passing along the road.2009-01-21A dusty village street with a white-walled building on the left bearing red and black Tamil lettering on its signboard, including a large red word and a shop name. A motorcyclist in a white shirt rides down the muddy, puddled dirt road toward the camera.
