Several men in saffron or orange robes walk in the foreground, including a bearded older man in orange holding a small booklet and a man in orange with a sash and crossed-shoulder cloth beside a man in white. Others in white dhotis and shirts, women in white saris with yellow or red borders, and a woman in orange with a garland are visible. Stone walls carved with pillar motifs frame the passage. The crowd moves toward the inner temple court.2009-08-06Inside a stone temple hall with carved granite pillars, a procession walks across a bare stone floor while devotees watch from behind a yellow-and-orange metal railing. In the centre, a man in saffron robes with long dark hair and a gold chain walks barefoot, holding a small pink object in his hands. Beside him, a man in saffron with a red sash and a garland of marigolds walks with his hands joined, and a man in a light-coloured saffron garment with a garland also walks nearby. Behind them, a man in white dhoti and shirt, a woman in a purple and green sari, and a bare-chested priest in a white dhoti with a rudraksha mala follow. Onlookers stand along the railing, including a woman in a purple sari and another in a pink-and-blue shawl. Fluorescent lights hang from the ceiling.2009-01-14December 08 20112011-12-08Night procession at a temple gateway with a stone entrance, tiled floor and a lit shrine visible inside. A central figure in a reddish-brown robe wears a long white and yellow flower garland and is walked through the doorway. Around him, several men and women in saffron-orange dhotis and garlands carry objects, one bare-chested man wears a sacred white ash marking and orange dhoti and folds his hands, and a woman in a white sari stands nearby. Children watch at left, and a foreign woman in orange with a garland stands at right. The scene appears to be a ritual welcome or procession. Whether the garlanded robed figure is a person cannot be confirmed from appearance alone.2017-02-07March 07 20202020-03-07May 06 20122012-05-06 +1 copies
