Before him is a wooden altar draped with a white cloth, holding a silver pot, a silver plate of pink flower petals and silver vessels. Behind is an arched orange-lit niche containing a gilded ornate shrine canopy with a small deity murti and a metal image of a dancing figure. Scattered pink flowers and a bucket appear at the lower right. The page links the setting to a satsang on temple science, but the visible scene shows a shrine and devotee only.2012-05-08Photo 11732590May 09 20122012-05-09April 12 20122012-04-12May 10 20122012-05-10A photograph inside a temple shrine where a bald, bare-chested man wearing an orange silk dhoti with gold borders and a rudraksha-style beaded head ornament stands with his back to the camera, leaning toward a gilded shrine canopy. Inside the shrine a gold-framed deity murti is decorated with pink rose petals and white jasmine garlands. A second person in white clothing with gold trim holds a lit oil lamp, an aarti, toward the shrine from the right. Silver lamp stands and small silver bowls sit on the altar, and a warm line of lights frames the arched niche. The scene suggests a puja or aarti at the shrine.2012-05-09 +1 copiesA person in an orange-red robe with gold-bordered drape stands in profile, facing a small golden shrine set into an arched niche lit with a string of orange lights. The person wears a gold headband, multiple gold and beaded necklaces, bangles, and hair in a bun, with hands folded in prayer. The shrine holds a golden canopied shrine with pink flowers, small deity figures, and a brass oil lamp burning in front. Overall it is a devotional puja at a home or temple altar. The person is shown from behind and in profile, so appearance cues are limited.2012-04-29Photo 11733932December 28 20082008-12-28
