A kitchen serving line in a yellow-walled hall where a man with long swept-back dark hair, a red bindi, a saffron-orange wrap and a heavy gold bead necklace with a rudraksha-style mala stands at a steel pot of cooked rice, ladling rice onto a steel plate. Around him women in blue hairnets, white saris and plastic gloves and men in white shirts serve food from steel vessels on a long counter. Ceiling fans and fluorescent lights hang overhead. The man's cues are distinctive, so he is a person serving food as annadan to delegates. Several dozen people are visible in the room.

A photograph inside a yellow-walled dining hall where volunteers serve food from large steel pots. In the foreground a bald man in orange robes and a rudraksha mala serves rice from a pot, beside a man with long swept-back dark hair wearing an orange cloth and ornate gold beaded necklaces, who scoops rice from a pot with a ladle. Behind them, workers in blue caps and white aprons and white-clad men stand at serving counters with bowls of food. A cameraman films from the left and a young man in white with an orange shawl stands at the right. The scene shows a large food distribution, with ceiling fans and white columns.

A man in a saffron-orange robe and a long orange rudraksha mala stands at a steel serving counter in a pink hall, wearing a white disposable hairnet and clear plastic gloves while serving food from a tray. A red vibhuti or kumkum mark sits on his forehead and his long hair is tied back. Behind him, people in white clothes and orange saris queue or assist at the food line, and red curtains hang in the windows. The scene suggests annadan, a community meal service.
