A dimly lit stone hall with carved pillars shows a painted wooden ratha-style chariot with red and white decoration, a painted wooden elephant figure with a red saddle cloth, and a row of red-painted carved figures on the chariot's lower tier. A faded painted statue stands in the background at right. No living people are visible. The scene appears to be a temple museum or hall display of festival vehicles.2012-05-22May 22 20122012-05-22 +1 copiesInterior of a temple hall with stone pillars, showing parked wooden and painted processional vehicles. On the left a large wooden ratha or chariot base with stacked silver-painted panels and red decorations sits on carved wooden wheels-less platform. Beside it a painted wooden horse with a saddle and a second carved vehicle with a swan-like figure stand in the dim aisle under a wooden ceiling. No people are visible; a yellow sack rests on the floor at lower left and colourful bunting hangs at upper right.2012-05-21Making Of Sacred Arts UniversityPhoto 11732832A photograph of a long, dim stone colonnade inside a temple, with heavy carved granite pillars lining both sides and a row of ceiling lights receding into the distance. Two figures in saffron-orange robes walk down the central aisle, one of them carrying something, while a few more people stand further back in the corridor. The carved pillars show dense sculptural detail, and the atmosphere is quiet and shadowed.2012-08-20A photograph inside a stone-walled workshop corridor where painted deity sculptures are being prepared. In the foreground, a large painted figure with a crown, gold armour, and a green-and-gold base stands beside a red-and-orange figure with multiple arms and a dark crown. Further back, more painted statues and blue-topped work tables are visible. A lone person in white clothing stands at the right edge near the open shutter, partly hidden.A night photograph of a row of painted sculptures seated along a low plinth beside a pale yellow wall. The largest figure in the foreground is a pale-skinned guardian statue with a tall gold crown, a bushy moustache, a gold belt and a beaded necklace, its hands resting on its knees. Beside it sits a red-bodied figure with a black hair bun and a gold crown, holding a long stick across its lap. Further along the row, several more painted figures in green, red and white with gold headdresses face the same way, and small carved attendants crouch at the base. No people are visible in the scene.2017-02-07 +2 copiesMay 22 20122012-05-22August 19 20122012-08-19May 31 20122012-05-31 +1 copiesDim interior of an old stone temple hall with weathered carved pillars and a dark wooden ceiling beam.
