In the foreground, a woman in a white sari with an orange-trimmed shawl sits with hands joined near a brass tray of lamps and a metal pot. At the right, a woman in orange clothing with hands folded stands beside an orange-cushioned chair. Behind them, a man in white with a yellow shawl stands with palms together, and a standing man in white and a yellow shawl is at the top right. Several people sit with palms pressed together in prayer. A framed banner with photographs hangs on the back wall, and a stainless steel railing runs along the left side, with a man in white taking photographs.2010-07-22Photo 11733339 +1 copiesAugust 31 20122012-08-31February 11 20062006-02-11A photograph of a Hindu fire ritual inside a corrugated-roof hall with bamboo-arched supports and lattice windows. A brick fire pit with a bright flame sits at the centre, surrounded by offerings. On the right, a long-haired figure in saffron-orange robes sits with palms pressed together in prayer. Beside them, a man in white ritual clothes sits near the fire. To the left, a child in a red garment sits by the fire, and a young boy in white kneels at the pit. Several other people in white and light clothing sit in the background, and a small oil lamp burns near the front edge. The long-haired figure in saffron robes with a folded-hands posture is a probable Swamiji by appearance, present in person at the fire ritual.2006-02-11Photo 11729680 +1 copiesAugust 29 20122012-08-29Photo 11730615 +1 copiesAugust 31 20122012-08-31August 29 20122012-08-29
