A photograph of a homa fire burning in a raised, tiered mud-brick fire pit on a red cloth floor inside a temple hall. Dry sticks and wood burn in the pit, with rice grains and kumkum marks scattered on its rim and a silver bowl of liquid at the left edge. Behind the fire stands a gilded shrine arch with lion motifs holding a deity murti decorated with garlands of yellow, orange and red flowers. Trays of bananas, coconuts and fruit sit on the floor at the right, with brass lamps nearby.
