A photograph of two young boys cleaning the stone steps of a temple entrance. The boy in the foreground wears a lime-green short-sleeved shirt and grey rolled-up trousers, bending forward and bare-footed while scrubbing with his hands over a silver bucket. Beside him a second boy in a white-and-blue striped shirt and dark trousers stands and watches. Behind them is a carved stone doorway with a dark inner sanctum, a red cloth hanging above, and a grille gate. An Om symbol is carved on the right pillar, and ornate carved stone brackets line the base of the structure.2009-08-31May 30 20122012-05-30May 30 20122012-05-30May 22 20122012-05-22 +1 copiesMay 30 20122012-05-30May 22 20122012-05-22 +1 copiesMay 22 20122012-05-22 +1 copiesA man in plain white dhoti and white shirt stands inside a dim stone temple hall beside a weathered granite pillar, holding a broom or cleaning tool in his hands. A rudraksha mala hangs around his neck and a small vibhuti or tilak mark is on his forehead. Behind him a light is mounted high on the wall. The stone is aged and dusty, consistent with renovation work at an old temple.2012-05-30May 22 20122012-05-22 +1 copiesMay 22 20122012-05-22 +1 copiesA construction site between cinder-block walls. Scaffolding of bamboo poles and rope supports workers. A man in an orange-and-white shirt and dark lungi stands on a plank at the upper left, reaching toward the wall. Another man in a white shirt and checked lungi works on the upper right, while a boy in a light shirt and a younger child in shorts and a lungi stand below on the plank. A man in white clothing walks in the dirt lane in the background. The unfinished gateway opening is framed by block walls and a plank platform.2007-03-29May 22 20122012-05-22 +1 copies
