The priest on the left, bent forward with bare torso and cream dhoti, lifts a silver vessel toward a bronze murti of a goddess in a red sari and crown, garlanded with white jasmine and red flowers. The priest on the right, bare-chested with a long topknot, a yellow-and-white cloth over his shoulder, and rudraksha beads, stands with palms pressed together in namaskar. Behind them, a dark-faced deity in a tall crown and a silver-gilt arch stands in a gold-and-blue shrine, and a dark blue-skinned murti in turquoise-and-pink silk with pearl necklaces stands at the right. Red curtains and painted blue-and-yellow pillars frame the scene. Three men stand before a deity murti decorated for alankaram, with a red-and-gold kalasha and offerings in front. The man on the left wears a white turban, white dhoti and rudraksha mala and joins his palms. The man in the centre wears a white turban, white dhoti with gold border, and a rudraksha mala, with palms joined. The man on the right wears spectacles, a white turban, a white dhoti with gold border and a gold necklace, with palms joined in greeting. At centre stands a decorated deity murti in a gold and red setting with flanking figures and flower arrangements, and two tall palm-leaf stalks frame the image. Four men stand around the shrine: at left a bearded man in white dhoti and white turban with a beaded necklace and hands folded; next, a man in a red turban and multicoloured shawl seated on a chair; then two bare-chested men in white dhotis with gold borders and white turbans, hands folded in namaskar, one wearing a rudraksha mala. A gold-and-brown palanquin or seat occupies the foreground. The arrangement suggests a navaratri alankaram display of the deity.A temple shrine scene where two priests in traditional white dhoti attire perform ritual dressing of deity murtis. The shorter priest on the left wears a white dhoti with a maroon border and glasses, adjusting a crown on a bronze deity seated on a blue cloth and garlanded with white jasmine and red flower strings. The bare-chested priest on the right wears a white dhoti with a yellow sash over his shoulder and a rudraksha mala, with his hands near the second seated bronze figure in red and gold garments. Behind them, a tall black stone deity wearing a silver crown, jewelled necklaces and a blue garment stands in an arched gold niche with yellow drapery, and a dark figure in a colourful garland sits at the upper left beneath ornate pillars.
