Most are dressed in white kurtas and salwar, with some in striped shirts and bright yellow or green garments. In the foreground, two seated boys in white look down, and a man in a saffron-orange robe sits on a raised red stone platform in front of a brass plate of offerings and a silver vessel, apparently leading a ritual. A standing figure in white stands near the trunk on the right. The scene suggests a teaching or ritual session in an open-air setting.2006-05-04Outdoor group gathering seated on white cloths and mats beneath a large banyan tree with thick hanging aerial roots. Rows of children and adults sit attentively; many children wear white kurta-style or white shirts, and several boys have vertical sandalwood or vibhuti marks on their foreheads. A woman in a green sari and a woman in pink sit among the crowd, and an older woman in a white and grey sari is seated at the front. A man in an orange shirt stands at the left edge, and a man in white stands near the center-right, apparently addressing or instructing the group.2006-04-30A photo of a seated outdoor gathering on bare ground beneath a large spreading tree with thick grey-brown trunks. Dozens of people sit in rows: women in saris including a yellow sari, a pink sari, a teal top and a white top, and many children and young people in white kurtas and shirts. A standing man in an orange-yellow shirt stands near the back among the crowd, and another standing person in white is at the top left. Several attendees wear name badges. The scene suggests a children's residential programme audience listening attentively.2006-04-30
