In the foreground, a young man in a white dhoti and white shirt carries a large framed portrait of a deity or saint with a garland, over a white cloth-covered platform, while other men in white and a man in a white shirt and dark trousers walk nearby. Behind them a long line of devotees, many in white and saffron or orange garments, follows along the road, and a decorated canopy with red and gold trim stands at the top left. The scene suggests a ratha or palanquin-style procession with garlands and a framed image carried ceremonially.2010-10-07A photograph of a roadside procession on a tree-lined road, with a crowd of devotees walking in a line.
