A golden lion-headed mount or vahana supports a dark-faced deity murti seated on a silver-grey cushioned throne, wearing a layered white and gold necklace, a green draped cloth and red-and-green garland swags. A multicoloured fringed canopy with a golden finial shelters the figure. Peripheral details include a red-trimmed structure and a small shrine figure at the lower right. Garlands of yellow marigolds and red flowers drape the carriage, with colourful tassels and bells hanging from its arched canopy. A seated figure in white and blue garments with ornate gold jewellery and a large crown-like headdress occupies the central throne, with a deity murti-style presence. A black speaker sits at the lower left, and a crowd of onlookers in the background, including people in white and orange clothing, watches the procession among trees.2011-12-06November 14 20182018-11-14A festival procession float carries a seated figure under a large ornate canopy with tiered fringe in red, yellow, green, blue and white. The figure wears a maroon and brown turban and maroon jacket, a silver and gold layered chest ornament, an orange dhoti-style garment, and a red tilak on the forehead. Garlands of yellow, orange, red and white flowers hang from the golden throne backrest and draped on both sides. The seated figure is a statue or depiction rather than a living person, and the throne is elaborately carved gold. Golden arched frame and a golden kalasha-like finial sit at the lower left, with a red-roofed building and bare branches at the right.2016-12-16Photo 11724256November 14 20182018-11-14September 08 20152015-09-08 +1 copies
