Photo 11724204 +2 copiesA photograph of a devotee in white dhoti and shawl prostrating with forehead touching the ground before a seated figure on a red-and-maroon velvet throne draped with orange cloth. The seated figure wears a maroon turban and saffron-maroon robe, with a long garland of yellow, white and red flowers around the neck and a red-and-yellow flower garland across the lap. The figure's hands are raised in a blessing gesture and the figure smiles. Nearby stand a brass tray with a coconut-shaped offering and flowers, and gold-coloured decor fills the background. The devotee's blue backpack is visible at the side. The seated figure's appearance matches Swamiji (probable) by the saffron-maroon clothing, turban and garlands, and is shown as a depiction. Only the devotee is a physical person in the frame.2018-12-30Photo 11724215 +2 copiesPhoto 11722835A photograph of a devotee lying prostrate on an orange cloth in front of an ornate golden-and-red throne-style chair. On the chair sits a framed portrait of a long-haired man in saffron-orange robes, wearing a rudraksha-style bead necklace and raising one hand in blessing, garlanded with a thick red and white flower garland. The prostrate devotee wears white ritual clothing with a red-bordered cloth and a gold ornament in the ear. Brass puja vessels, a kalasha-style pot, an oil lamp, a bowl of offerings and a folded orange cloth lie on the floor before the chair. Behind the throne, gold and yellow garlands and a carved stone temple wall are visible. The portrait is a printed image, not a physical person on the chair, and the prostration is a ritual act of honour.2010-12-14Photo 11722834Photo 11722832A seated figure on an ornate gold-and-red throne with a golden crown-like finial receives worship.
