December 22 20182018-12-22Outdoor temple courtyard scene with a large ornate statue of a male figure standing within a golden, jewelled arched frame. The statue wears a patterned turban, ornate embroidered garments and layered beaded necklaces, and is garlanded with yellow, pink and red flower garlands; a pink satin cloth covers its base with yellow flower petals scattered around. Two women in orange saris stand to the right, one holding a basket of pink flowers, while a shirtless man in a rust-coloured cloth lies prostrate on the ground before the statue. Onlookers in white, orange and other clothing stand in the background near a gilded wooden pavilion with hanging greenery. This depicts a statue, not the living person, and the people visible are devotees performing a prostration and offering flowers.2018-12-22Outdoor temple-grounds scene during a devotional event.
