A golden pillar-shaped post is wrapped with a white cloth and red-and-green bordered cloth, topped with a bundle of green mango leaves and straw. Two saffron-clad figures tie or adjust the wrapping: a bare-chested person with a leopard-print headband, rudraksha beads and white ash on the arm, and a woman in an orange shawl with gold bangles and braided hair. Other devotees in orange stand behind. Strong daylight, green trees and sandy ground in the background.2018-12-22December 22 20182018-12-22Photo 11724127 +1 copiesDecember 22 20182018-12-22 +1 copiesPhoto 11724129 +1 copiesOutdoor scene at a Dwajarohanam flag-hoisting ceremony. A tall golden pillar is draped with a red and white cloth wrapped around a bundle of straw and green leaves at its top. Several women in orange and rust-coloured robes with rudraksha beads and bangles hold the cloth; one older woman in rust-red robes with a bangle on her wrist adjusts the fabric at the centre. To the left, a young person in an orange garment with a black head wrap and leopard-print scarf steadies the cloth, and a figure with white-painted markings on the arm stands beside. Palm trees and dry trees fill the background under a pale sky.2018-12-22 +1 copiesPhoto 11724134 +2 copiesPhoto 11724119 +1 copies
