Before him, a bare-chested elder with white hair bends to wash his feet on a brass plate decorated with marigolds, roses and jasmine garlands, while a younger attendant in a white sari stands at the right and another attendant in white pours or offers from the left. This is a padapuja-style foot ritual in a temple or ashram hall.2017-07-08December 22 20162016-12-22 +1 copiesNight outdoor ceremony with smoke rising under a canopy lit by string lights. A man in a dark maroon robe with a pink-and-white flower garland and rudraksha-style beads sits on an ornate gold-and-red throne, raising his hand over an elderly man in white dhoti with gold borders who bows. Behind them stand several men shirtless or in red and orange cloths with white-painted foreheads and beaded malas, one holding a woven basket. A gold trident stands beside the throne, and a tray of limes sits in front. Several more people are visible in the background.2017-02-23January 04 20192019-01-04
