Several women reach forward with cupped palms, some with bangles and wristwatches visible. Behind them a golden deity murti and an ornate golden peetha or throne-like structure stand at left, with a pink and teal floor mat beneath. The scene suggests annadan or prasad distribution in an ashram hall. No figure is clearly identifiable as a person in this image.2017-09-19August 14 20172017-08-14August 14 20172017-08-14A crowd of women and girls in saffron-orange clothing gathers closely in a temple-like hall with gold-toned walls behind them. In the centre, a young woman with a vertical tilak on her forehead and dark beaded rudraksha malas around her neck holds a handful of yellow flower petals in both hands. Several others in orange saris and orange kurtas surround her, some with long dark braids or hair pulled into buns. The scene suggests a ritual offering of petals during an assembly.2017-07-03 +1 copies
