Their palms are pressed together in anjali mudra with eyes closed. In front of each is a banana leaf set with small mounds of food, sweets, rice and a clay cup, indicating a communal meal or annadan. A gold-framed deity image and a golden figure sit at the right edge, with maroon drapes and potted plants behind them.2016-11-11 +1 copiesPhotograph of a long row of seated devotees in orange-saffron robes sitting on the floor before banana-leaf meals. Foreground: a young man with a topknot, white horizontal body markings on his bare chest, tiger-print cloth and rudraksha beads, hands pressed together in namaskar with eyes closed. Beside him, a bare-chested man with an orange turban and white forehead marks, also in prayer. Rows of brass cups, plates of puris and food on leaves stretch down the aisle. Foreground, a young woman with hair piled high and decorated with pins, white ash markings on her forehead and body, and a rudraksha-style bead mala, presses her hands in prayer. Before each person are green banana-leaf plates holding flatbreads, rice and sides, with brass tumblers beside them. Several men further down also have white ash and beads. A water-bottle is visible at the far right edge. Appears to be a communal meal or sacred feast during a gathering.2018-01-08June 29 20182018-06-29Photo 11698028November 11 20162016-11-11 +1 copiesAnnadhan in 20152015-01-01 +1 copiesSeptember 19 20172017-09-19
