Milk runs down the statue onto a golden tray and a mound of offerings at its base. Beside it stands a smaller bronze female figure in a maroon sari with a gold necklace and crown, holding a small lamp. Red cloth and a stone wall form the background.2010-11-12A photograph of an abhishekam being performed on a pair of gilded metal deity murtis seated side by side under an ornate golden arch. A priest in orange-red dhoti and shawl, with a rudraksha mala around his neck, pours water from a silver vessel over the figures, which are glistening with water. The seated figure on the left holds a trident-like staff and wears a tall crown; the figure on the right wears a crown and jewelry. Another priest in orange robes bends over at the right edge. Green foliage shows through the open pavilion behind them. +1 copiesA shaven-headed priest in an orange saffron dhoti and shawl, with a sacred thread and vibhuti mark on his forehead, pours liquid from a brass pot over a bronze deity murti of a four-armed god holding a spear and staff, flanked by two smaller bronze female figures in maroon garments. Water or milk streams down over the figures in an abhishekam ritual. Yellow and purple flower garlands drape the golden shrine behind them, where a golden kalasha-topped structure and a seated figure in orange robes with a white cloth over the head appear as a shrine image. Red draped fabric and gold carvings frame the altar.2010-11-12December 08 20112011-12-08
