In the centre sit two gilded deity murtis, one wearing a crown and jewelled necklaces and the other a tall crown, seated on a dark throne-like platform. A woman in a saffron-orange sari with a gold border stands at left, pouring or offering something from a small vessel toward the murtis. A brass lamp and garlanded altar items sit at the base, with a white cloth on the floor. The scene reads as a puja or abhishekam at a temple.2007-01-01November 16 20182018-11-16 +1 copiesA photograph of a deity murti pair on a golden-curtained altar, decorated with yellow and white marigold garlands and red flowers. Two deity figures are adorned with gold crowns, jewelled necklaces and ornate gold robes; the central figure holds a staff and wears a tall silver-white crown. A standing man at right, seen from behind and bare-chested, wears an orange-red dhoti with a gold border and a matching orange-red turban, with a rudraksha mala around his neck, and raises his hand in worship toward the murti. Gold carved pillars frame the scene. The setting suggests a puja or darshan at night.2015-11-18
