Several hold small cups or vessels and prepare offerings on brass trays with fruit, flowers and sweets; brass lamps and kalasha-style vessels sit on a low wooden platform over a patterned red carpet. Behind them, devotees in white and colourful saris and dhotis sit or stand, and a gold and yellow decorated shrine appears in the background. The scene reads as a puja or abhishekam ritual gathering.2019-07-15A photograph of a large seated congregation of men in a hall, most bare-chested and wearing white dhotis with gold borders, many with rudraksha malas and white ash or tilak marks on their bodies.
