A heavy gold necklace of large gold beads with dark bands and a white pearl strand hangs across the chest. Behind it are a maroon and gold brocade cushion, a gold kalasha-style urn, and garlands of red roses and yellow marigolds. A brass bowl and offering items sit on a wooden platform in front. The figure is a statue, not a living person, and the photo is a product of ritual decoration.2010-06-07
