A large brick fire pit blazes with bright orange flames and rising smoke. In the foreground, a bare-chested priest in white dhoti and yellow-trimmed shawl pours an offering into the fire with his right hand. A gold-coloured bowl and a gold ladle with a bird-headed handle sit on the pit's edge. Behind the fire, several seated devotees wear white clothes and orange shawls, one older man with white hair in the centre. A faint blue logo appears at upper left, and copyright text appears at lower right.2012-04-24Close-up photograph of a homa fire ritual. A bright flame rises from a brick-lined fire pit with white flower offerings scattered on the bricks. A polished silver bowl at left pours a pale yellow liquid into the fire. Behind, a person in orange-red clothing wears a long beaded necklace with a large ornate gold pendant; only the arms and torso are partly visible. A faint bird logo sits at the top left corner.2011-11-10August 19 20182018-08-19January 11 20182018-01-11 +2 copies
