Many wear rudraksha malas. Before them stand rows of silver puja vessels, bowls, and tall brass cone-shaped lamps, with a few offering plates. Behind them stands an orange and maroon stage decorated with gold pillars and geometric lattice windows. Several women in orange saris sit at the far left. The scene suggests a ritual sitting, with no identifiable individual singled out.2013-10-07Photo 11709693Photo 11718093December 12 20182018-12-12January 04 20172017-01-04 +1 copiesA large group of young men in saffron-orange dhoti and shawl sit cross-legged on a white floor during a ritual. Several hold small oil lamps or burning wicks upward, and one raises a lamp near his head. Their faces and arms bear white sacred ash lines, and they wear rudraksha malas and pendant necklaces. Brass plates with fruit, flowers and offerings sit in the foreground, and a bright pillared hall with other participants fills the background.2017-01-04
