A man seated on the gilded red-cushioned throne wears a rudraksha mala and a rust-coloured wrap, his hands folded. Three attendants in saffron-orange and rust cloth stand at centre and right: one holds a brass vessel, another a metal plate with offerings, and a young boy in an orange turban stands behind. A fire burns in a yellow-brick fire pit in the foreground, with a small oil lamp and brass cups near the carved wooden door at right, and a decorated kalasha with mango leaves and coconuts on a tray. The man on the throne has long hair and a crown-like headpiece; the attendants are shirtless or in orange wraps with rudraksha malas.2018-04-11January 07 20182018-01-07October 05 20172017-10-05 +1 copiesA night homa or fire ritual at an outdoor temple-like stage. Three priests in saffron-orange garments and orange turbans stand and kneel at a golden fire pit where flames rise high. The standing priest in front, wearing rudraksha beads and a saffron cloth over the shoulder, holds a ladle and a metal ritual implement over the fire. Two other figures in orange sit or stand beside him, one in a bare-chested orange wrap. Behind the fire is a deity murti decorated with a garland of marigolds and yellow and red flowers, and a stone lion or bull figure sits nearby. A tall silver tray holds flower offerings, and an oil lamp burns at right. A video camera on a tripod stands at left. A small fan and red curtain are in the background.2017-09-24Night-time homa at an outdoor ritual platform. A young priest in saffron-orange dhoti and matching turban pours an offering from a ladle-like spoon into a bright fire pit, a bag of offerings held in his hand. Beside him, another priest in orange and turban kneels with his back turned, and a third orange-clad attendant stands at left near a camera on a tripod. Behind them are deity murtis draped with garlands and a stone statue of a bull, with an oil lamp, brass vessels and a purple-cloth covered object with flower garlands in front. A black-and-white tiled electric fan and a red curtain are visible at right.2017-09-24February 18 20182018-02-18August 02 20172017-08-02 +1 copies
