A central figure in a rust-red and gold-bordered silk garment wears a thick pink and yellow garland, layered rudraksha and beaded necklaces with a gold pendant, gold armlets and bangles, and a red bindi with white vibhuti on the forehead. Above him an ornate pink umbrella with multicoloured tassels is held by a shaved-headed attendant in rust-red robes and a rudraksha mala. Another attendant in matching red-brown robes walks beside him, and a decorated flag appears in the background among green trees. A central man with long dark hair and a full beard stands with hands pressed together in namaste, wearing a rust-brown dhoti-style cloth with a gold border, a long rudraksha mala draped across his chest, and a long white-and-red flower garland. Behind him, attendants in saffron-orange dhotis and white vibhuti stripes stand with bowls and trays; one holds a silver bowl of offerings, and another holds a tall gold-handled umbrella or parasol with multicoloured tassels. A man at left carries a decorated saffron-and-blue umbrella. The central figure has no distinctive saffron, crown or ceremonial gold cues beyond the garland and mala, so identity is uncertain. Five or more people are visible.2017-01-01Outdoor photo of a bearded man with long dark hair, a vertical tilak and white forehead marking, wearing a maroon-brown robe and a long double-strand rudraksha mala. He wears a thick white and red-rose garland and stands with palms pressed together, gazing upward. Behind him, figures in orange and white clothing carry a silver tray and a yellow-orange flag with floral embroidery hangs at left, under a colourful tasseled canopy of red, blue, white and orange. Green trees form the background. Appearance-based candidate: a person, a central figure with long hair, rudraksha mala and garland, though the appearance is not conclusive and his role is the central devotee in a procession. Other attendees appear as priests and devotees.2017-01-01April 10 20162016-04-10A photograph of a procession outdoors under trees on stone-paved ground.
