Close view of a black stone Shivalinga decorated for worship. Brass or gold-toned bands with embossed scale and floral patterns encircle the base and upper section, and three horizontal white stripes with a central red-and-gold bindu mark the front. A rudraksha mala hangs over the linga. It is framed by garlands of white and yellow chrysanthemums and purple flowers. At the upper left, a partially visible arm in a brown garment holds an oil lamp, and a brass lamp and hanging chain appear at the right edge against a dark purple cloth backdrop. No people are fully visible in the scene apart from that arm.2018-01-17November 14 20182018-11-14August 29 20182018-08-29Jan 2 2022 sripuram2022-01-02November 28 2022 sripuram2022-11-28August 04 20182018-08-04A temple shrine photograph centred on a Shiva lingam covered in a golden kavacham-style lingam cover with a gold conical top, draped with rudraksha malas, a white cloth with green and maroon borders, and a garland of yellow, white, red and green flowers. A gold lamp with flame is held over it by a hand entering from the left, with brass vessels in the foreground. Behind are dark stone deity statues dressed in red and gold cloth and garlands; to the right a golden deity murti in a yellow dress wears pearl and jewelled necklaces. The setting suggests an abhishekam or aarti at a Hindu temple shrine.2024-09-29Jan 10 2022 sripuram2022-01-10January 02 20192019-01-02Photo 11718997A black stone Shiva lingam on a carved black pedestal is being offered yellow flower petals from a silver bowl held by a person in white clothing with a gold-edged border at the right edge. Another person's hand is visible at the top right. Behind the lingam is a gold-coloured ornate carved structure with floral and foliage filigree panels and hanging bells, and a pink cloth lies under the lingam. The scene shows abhishekam-style floral worship at a shrine.2021-09-19Photo 11716075
