A night-time ritual photograph in front of a richly decorated deity murti framed by a golden arch, adorned with garlands of flowers. A priest wearing a red-orange turban and red-orange cloth around his waist stands at left, holding a brass plate or lid and pouring or offering toward a large open flame at the base of the shrine. Brass oil lamps with lit wicks stand on either side of the fire, and a lamp and offerings sit on the stone platform beside the lions. A red and gold ceremonial umbrella stands at right. The figure's face is not clearly visible enough to confirm identity.2016-10-29October 29 20162016-10-29A night-time homa at an outdoor temple-style setting under a corrugated roof. In the centre, a bare-chested priest in an orange dhoti with a green-and-maroon border stands with his back to the camera, hands raised toward a blazing fire pit with offerings. Behind him, a golden gilded throne holds a seated person in a maroon garment with a garland, and a second seated attendant in orange sits nearby. To the left, a deity murti is decorated with yellow and red flower garlands on an ornate stand, with a brass oil lamp beside it. Rose petals and marigold petals scatter the ground, brass vessels and a plate of fruit rest on a low table, and a multicolour umbrella shades the throne on the right.2016-02-16 +1 copiesNight photograph of a ritual fire homa before an ornate deity murti decorated with white flower garlands and green leaves. A man in saffron-orange robes and a saffron turban, with a long beaded necklace, stands at the left raising a flame-lit lamp toward a pair of seated deity murtis on the right, adorned with garlands and gold and orange cloth. Another saffron-robed man with a long beaded mala and a pendant stands beside them, and a figure in white with a dark shawl stands behind. A tray of marigold garlands sits on a table in front of the deities, and a golden trident stands at the top right. Two additional saffron-robed figures stand in the background. The visible cues on the left figure, including the saffron turban and mala, are consistent with the page's a person reference, but the appearance is not certain enough for a firm identification.January 03 20152015-01-03October 08 20132013-10-08Night ritual photograph beside a large fire.
