Close view of several kalasha pots for a puja, each a clear glass or metal vessel covered by a coconut draped in white cloth with blue or maroon striped borders. Yellow marigold garlands wrap the pots, with mango leaves and red flower petals scattered at their base. Red apples and a pomegranate sit in the foreground, and a bundle of straw or grass lies at the left edge. The background is soft and hazy, with more yellow flowers and blurred figures. No people are clearly visible, so this appears to be a ritual setup rather than a staged portrait.2017-09-27September 27 20172017-09-27A photograph of a ritual offering arranged on a silver tray at a temple setting. A kalasha-style pot is wrapped with white and maroon-striped cloth and crowned with yellow marigold garlands and a white cloth knot. Red apples, a coconut, banana bunch and mango-like fruits sit around the base, with green leaves and scattered rose petals. Behind it, a bright oil lamp flame burns beside a metal cup of incense sticks and tiered offerings. Smoke rises in the background, with blurred cloth and figures out of focus.
